About Recalled This Week

Recalled This Week exists to answer one question fast: is the thing I own being recalled, and what do I do about it?

U.S. product recalls are scattered across at least four federal agencies. Food and drugs come from the Food and Drug Administration. Meat and poultry come from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. Cars, tires, and car seats come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Everything else, from cribs to space heaters to power tools, comes from the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Each agency publishes in its own format, on its own site, in its own bureaucratic language.

We pull all of it into one place, rewrite each notice in plain English, and answer the four things a person actually wants to know: what is recalled, am I affected, what to do right now, and what the hazard is. Every page links back to the official government notice so you can verify the details yourself.

  • A clear link to the source. We summarize for speed; the official notice is always one click away.

Who runs it

Recalled This Week is run by a single independent operator. It is not a government site and is not affiliated with the CPSC, FDA, NHTSA, USDA, or any other agency. Our summaries are plain-English rewrites provided for readability and convenience. They are not legal or safety advice. For anything that affects your health or safety, always confirm the details with the official source linked on each recall page, and for vehicles, look up your exact VIN at NHTSA.gov.
