Apeks XL4, XL4+, and XL4 Ocea second stage scuba regulators are being recalled because they can cut off air supply at depths beyond 45 meters (about 147 feet), creating a serious risk of drowning and death.

What is recalled

Apeks model XL4, XL4+, and XL4 Ocea second stage scuba regulators. Sold April 2025 through June 2026 in black, white, gray, mint, or yellow (single colors or combinations). Serial numbers between 250402212 and 260402893, laser-etched on the side of the regulator and on the shipping carton.

You're affected if you own an Apeks XL4, XL4+, or XL4 Ocea second stage regulator with a serial number between 250402212 and 260402893. Check the laser-etched serial number on the side of the regulator or on the original shipping carton.
