Head Watersports is recalling Apeks XL4, XL4+, and XL4 Ocea second stage scuba regulators because they can cut off air flow at depths below 45 meters (about 147 feet), creating a serious drowning risk.

What is recalled

Apeks model XL4, XL4+, and XL4 Ocea second stage scuba regulators. Sold April 2025 through June 2026 in black, white, gray, mint, or yellow (or combinations of those colors). Serial numbers in the range 250402212 to 260402893, laser-etched on the side of the regulator and printed on the shipping carton.

You are affected if you own an Apeks XL4, XL4+, or XL4 Ocea second stage regulator with a serial number between 250402212 and 260402893. Check the laser-etched number on the side of the regulator or on the original shipping carton.
