2025 BMW X3: AIR BAGS:PASSENGER SIDE FRONTAL:CUSHION

BMW is recalling certain 2025 X3 vehicles because the front passenger airbag fabric may have been damaged during shipping. A damaged airbag may not inflate correctly in a crash, raising the risk of injury to the front passenger.

What is recalled

2025 BMW X3 xDrive30i and X3 M50i vehicles. Note: BMW states none of the affected vehicles have been sold to consumers yet, they are still in the pre-sale supply chain.

Am I affected

You're affected if you have purchased or taken delivery of a 2025 BMW X3 xDrive30i or X3 M50i. Because BMW reports no affected vehicles have been sold yet, most consumers are not currently at risk, but if you believe you have one, check your vehicle's model year, trim, and contact BMW to confirm.

What to do right now

Take your vehicle to a BMW dealer for a free replacement of the front passenger airbag. Since no affected vehicles have been sold yet, you will not receive a mailed notification letter. If you have questions or believe your vehicle may be affected, contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
