Certain 2024 to 2026 BMW X3 vehicles are being recalled because the steering spindle may have been incorrectly attached to the steering column. This can cause a sudden loss of steering control, raising the risk of a crash.

2024, 2025, and 2026 BMW X3 sDrive30i, X3 xDrive30, and X3 M50 xDrive vehicles. Specific VINs will be searchable at NHTSA.gov starting October 2, 2026.

Take your vehicle to a BMW dealer for a free inspection. The dealer will check the steering connection and replace the hardware or the spindle and column as needed, at no cost to you.
