Chrysler (FCA US) is recalling certain 2024 to 2026 Jeep and Ram vehicles because an improperly designed trailer tow module can cause trailer brake lights and turn signals to stop working, and trailer brakes to fail. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.

Certain 2024 to 2026 Jeep Wagoneer S, 2025 to 2026 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Cab Chassis, Ram 4500 Cab Chassis, Ram 5500 Cab Chassis, and 2026 Jeep Cherokee vehicles. FCA US recall number: 03D.

You're affected if you own one of these vehicles: a 2024 to 2026 Jeep Wagoneer S, a 2025 to 2026 Ram 1500, 2500, or 3500 Pickup, a 2025 to 2026 Ram 3500, 4500, or 5500 Cab Chassis, or a 2026 Jeep Cherokee. Check your specific VIN at NHTSA.gov (VINs became searchable February 10, 2026) or look for FCA US recall number 03D in your owner notification letter.
What to do right now
Take your vehicle to a Chrysler/Ram dealer, they will replace the trailer tow module free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning March 17, 2026.
