Chrysler is recalling certain Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and Grand Cherokee 4Xe plug-in hybrid vehicles because the high-voltage battery can fail internally and catch fire while the vehicle is parked or being driven. A vehicle fire can cause serious injury.

What is recalled
Certain 2020 to 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022 to 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe plug-in hybrid vehicles. Chrysler's internal recall number is 68C. You can search your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at NHTSA.gov starting November 6, 2025 to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
Am I affected
You are affected if you own a 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe, or a 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe. Check your VIN at NHTSA.gov (search for recall 25V741) starting November 6, 2025 to confirm. Vehicles previously covered under NHTSA recalls 24V720 or 23V787 for the same issue are also included and need the new remedy performed.
What to do right now
Stop charging your vehicle and park it outside, away from structures, until the recall repair is done. Take it to a Jeep dealer, who will update the high-voltage battery software and replace the battery if needed, at no cost to you. To get started or check your status, call Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Notification letters began mailing December 17, 2025; if you haven't received one, contact Chrysler directly.
