CuberShop's Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cube (model YJ MGC 5x5) has been recalled because the box includes loose, high-powered spare magnets that children can swallow. If ingested, these magnets can attract each other inside the body, causing intestinal perforation, blockage, blood poisoning, or death.

What is recalled
CuberShop Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cube, model YJ MGC 5x5. The cube has six colored sides with the "MGC" logo on the center piece. It came in a box marked "MGC" and "5x5" on the sides. A sealed plastic bag of loose spare magnets was included inside the packaging. Imported by SKY CUBE HK.

You're affected if you have a CuberShop Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cube in model YJ MGC 5x5 and the box included a sealed plastic bag of loose spare magnets. Check your cube's packaging and any contents for those separately packaged magnets.
What to do right now
Keep the loose spare magnets away from children immediately and stop using them. You may keep the cube itself. Throw away the loose magnets, then email a photo of the disposed magnets to [email protected] to receive a $5 refund from SKY CUBE HK.

The hazard
The recalled magnetic cubes violate the mandatory standard for toys because the cubes were packaged with loose high-powered magnets, posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
