Daoen is recalling Zen Fidget Magnetic Ball Sets because the loose, high-powered magnets can be swallowed by children. If more than one magnet is swallowed, they can attract each other inside the body, causing life-threatening intestinal tears, blockages, blood poisoning, or death.

What is recalled
Zen-branded magnetic fidget ball sets sold by Daoen. Each set contains four textured silicone magnetic balls in silver, light brown, tan, and bronze colors. Each ball is about 1.24 inches in diameter. The sets come in a round, zippered carrying case, with or without a white Gordon Sinclair logo printed on it.

You're affected if you own a Zen Fidget Magnetic Ball Set: a round, zippered case containing four silicone magnetic balls (silver, light brown, tan, and/or bronze) that are each about 1.24 inches across. The case may or may not have a white Gordon Sinclair logo on it.

The hazard
The recalled magnetic balls violate the mandatory standard for toys because they are loose high-powered magnets, posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, they can attract each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
