Certain 2024-2025 Dodge Charger vehicles may have a missing amplifier software update that prevents the exterior pedestrian warning sound from working. Without this alert sound, pedestrians may not hear the vehicle approaching, raising the risk of a crash or injury.

You're affected if you own a 2024 or 2025 Dodge Charger. Check your vehicle's model year on the registration or door jamb label. You should have received an owner notification letter from Chrysler mailed June 26, 2025. For confirmation, contact Chrysler at 800-853-1403 with your vehicle identification number (VIN).

What to do right now

Contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 to schedule a dealer appointment. Dealers will inspect and update the amplifier software at no cost. Reference recall number 44C when you call.
