DUMOS nine-drawer fabric dressers have been recalled because they can tip over and trap children underneath, posing a risk of serious injury or death. The dressers also fail to meet the mandatory federal safety standard for clothing storage units.

What is recalled

DUMOS Nine-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold as television stand dressers in white, black, gray, and brown. The metal-frame dresser measures about 13.4 inches wide, 47 inches long, and 31.3 inches tall, and weighs 31.5 pounds. It has LED lights, built-in power outlets and ports, and an attached electrical cable. The SKU printed on the product packaging label is one of the following: WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-RT, WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-GY, WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-BK, or WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-WT.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a DUMOS Nine-Drawer Fabric Dresser and the SKU label on its packaging reads WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-RT, WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-GY, WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-BK, or WMEDX-FC-TVK9CDC-WT. Check the label attached to the product packaging for one of these SKU numbers.

What to do right now

Stop using the dresser immediately if it is not anchored to the wall, and move it somewhere children cannot reach. Then contact DUMOS for a full refund. You will be asked to destroy the dresser by cutting the drawers in half and writing "RECALLED" on them in permanent marker, then email a photo of the destroyed dresser to [email protected] before disposing of it.
