The rearview camera in certain 2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles may fail at speeds of 10 MPH or higher, eliminating the driver's rear visibility and increasing crash risk. Ford will fix it with a free software update.

2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles with the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software that may lose rearview camera display at 10 MPH or greater speed.

You're affected if you own a 2025 Ford Explorer or Lincoln Aviator. Check your owners' notification letter mailed March 28, 2025, or call Ford at 1-866-436-7332 to confirm your vehicle is included (recall number 24C34).
