Certain 2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles have loose transmission cross member bolts that could cause the transmission to become unsecured, resulting in a sudden loss of engine power and increased crash risk.

What to do right now

Contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall number 25S03. A dealer will inspect and replace the transmission cross member bolts free of charge. If bolts are missing, the dealer will replace the entire cross member and install new bolts at no cost.
