2026 FORD MAVERICK: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:PARK PAWL

Ford is recalling certain 2022-2026 F-150 Lightning, 2024-2026 Mustang Mach-E, and 2025-2026 Maverick vehicles because the park function may fail to engage, allowing the vehicle to roll away. This increases the risk of a crash.

What is recalled

2022-2026 Ford F-150 Lightning BEV, 2024-2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E, and 2025-2026 Ford Maverick vehicles with a defective integrated park module.

You're affected if you own a 2022-2026 F-150 Lightning BEV, a 2024-2026 Mustang Mach-E, or a 2025-2026 Maverick. Check your vehicle's VIN on NHTSA.gov (searchable beginning January 26, 2026) or contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 with your vehicle identification number.

What to do right now

Contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 or visit NHTSA.gov to check if your VIN is affected. Your vehicle will receive a free software update to the park module, either over-the-air or at a dealer. An owner notification letter was mailed February 3, 2026. Ford's recall number is 25C69.
