Generac Portable Generator Recall: Fire & Burn Hazard
Generac Power Systems Recalls Portable Generators Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Burn and Fire Hazards
Updated April 16, 2026
Generac is recalling certain portable generators because fuel can leak from the carburetor the first time the tank is filled, creating a serious risk of fire or burns that could cause severe injury or death. If your generator has never been fueled, or leaked fuel when you first filled it, stop using it immediately.
