General Motors is recalling certain 2026 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC SUVs and trucks, plus select 2015 to 2020 models, because a missing component in the four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive transfer case can cause the front and/or rear wheels to lock up without warning. Sudden wheel lockup significantly increases the risk of a crash.

Vehicles with four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) across two model-year groups: • 2026 model year: Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac Escalade ESV; Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe; GMC Sierra 1500, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL. • 2015 to 2020 model year: Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe; Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac Escalade ESV; GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL. GM's internal recall number is N262557620. VINs became searchable on NHTSA.gov on May 7, 2026.
