Honda is recalling certain 2022 to 2025 Honda and Acura vehicles because the steering gearbox may have been built incorrectly, causing excessive friction that makes the car hard to steer. Difficulty steering raises the risk of a crash.

What is recalled

Certain 2023 to 2025 Acura Integra, Honda Civic Type R, Honda CR-V Hybrid, Honda CR-V, and Honda HR-V; 2022 to 2025 Honda Civic and Honda Civic Hatchback; 2024 to 2025 Acura Integra Type S; and 2025 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Honda Civic Hybrid, and Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid. Honda's recall numbers for this campaign are SJS, MJU, QJT, and VJV.

You're affected if you own one of these vehicles in the model-year ranges above: 2022 to 2025 Honda Civic or Civic Hatchback; 2023 to 2025 Honda CR-V, CR-V Hybrid, HR-V, or Civic Type R; 2023 to 2025 Acura Integra; 2024 to 2025 Acura Integra Type S; or a 2025 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, or Civic Hatchback Hybrid. What to do right now

Take your vehicle to a Honda or Acura dealer to get the worm gear spring replaced and the grease redistributed or topped up, all free of charge.
