2025 HYUNDAI IONIQ 6: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY

The Integrated Charging Control Unit in certain Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 6, Genesis GV60, GV70 Electrified, and G80 Electrified vehicles may fail and stop charging the 12-volt battery, cutting off drive power and causing a crash.

What is recalled

2022-2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5, 2023-2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6, Genesis GV60, Genesis GV70 Electrified, and Genesis G80 Electrified vehicles with a faulty Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU).

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a 2022, 2023, or 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5; a 2023, 2024, or 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6; a Genesis GV60; a Genesis GV70 Electrified; or a Genesis G80 Electrified. Check your vehicle registration or call Hyundai at 1-855-371-9460 (Hyundai) or Genesis at 1-844-340-9741 (Genesis) with your VIN to confirm if your vehicle is included.

What to do right now

Contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 or Genesis customer service at 1-844-340-9741 to schedule a free inspection and replacement of the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) and its fuse, plus a software update. Dealers will perform all repairs at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2024. If your vehicle was already repaired under recall 24V-204, you will still need to have the new remedy completed.
