2025 HYUNDAI PALISADE: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:FLUID/LUBRICANT:PUMP

Hyundai is recalling certain 2025 Palisade SUVs because a faulty seal on the electric oil pump controller can let moisture build up on the circuit board, causing an electrical short and potentially a fire. A fire can occur whether the vehicle is parked or being driven.

What is recalled

2025 Hyundai Palisade SUVs. NHTSA recall ID: 25V291000. Hyundai internal recall number: 278. The defect is in the electric oil pump controller, which has an insufficient seal that allows moisture intrusion.

What to do right now

Until the repair is done, park your Palisade outside and away from buildings, garages, or other structures. Then take it to a Hyundai dealer, they will replace the electric oil pump controller at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 11, 2025.
