Hyundai is recalling certain 2020 to 2025 Palisade SUVs because the side curtain air bags for third-row passengers may not deploy correctly in a crash. This increases the risk of injury to rear-seat occupants during a collision.

Certain 2020 to 2025 Hyundai Palisade SUVs. Hyundai's internal recall number is 292. Affected VINs became searchable on NHTSA.gov on January 24, 2026. Check your specific VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls or contact Hyundai directly.

What to do right now

Take your Palisade to a Hyundai dealer, the fix is free. Dealers will install a protective film over the rear window and remove padding as needed. An interim letter about the safety risk was mailed starting March 13, 2026; a final remedy is anticipated in June 2026.
