2026 HYUNDAI PALISADE: SEATS:MID/REAR ASSEMBLY:POWER ADJUST

Hyundai is recalling certain 2026 Palisade and 2026 Palisade Hybrid vehicles because the second- and third-row power seats may not detect a person and can keep moving even after making contact with them. A child or adult could become trapped, creating a serious risk of injury or death.

What is recalled

2026 Hyundai Palisade and 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, Limited and Calligraphy trim packages only. Affected VINs will be searchable at NHTSA.gov starting March 19, 2026. Hyundai's internal recall number is 296.

What to do right now

Until the fix is applied, keep children out of the rear seats and away from the rear seating area whenever the power-folding function is in use, and operate all second- and third-row power seat functions with extra caution. A free software update for the seat controller and the audio/visual/navigation system will be delivered over-the-air (OTA) or by a Hyundai dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed May 14, 2026. Contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 to schedule the repair.
