2026 HYUNDAI PALISADE: SEATS:MID/REAR ASSEMBLY:POWER ADJUST

Hyundai is recalling certain 2026 Palisade and 2026 Palisade Hybrid vehicles because the second and third row power seats may not detect a person and can keep moving after making contact. A child or adult could become trapped, with a risk of serious injury or death.

What is recalled

2026 Hyundai Palisade and 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid vehicles in the Limited or Calligraphy trim package, equipped with second and third row power seats (one-touch tilt-and-slide or automatic power fold-and-stow functions). Hyundai's recall number is 296. Affected vehicle identification numbers (VINs) will be searchable at NHTSA.gov starting March 19, 2026.

What to do right now

Keep children out of the rear seats and away from the rear seating area whenever using the power-folding function, and use all power seat functions with extra caution until the repair is done. Hyundai will update the seat controller and audio/visual/navigation software either over the air (OTA) or at a dealership, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 14, 2026.
