What is recalled

2020-2025 Hyundai Palisade vehicles. The seat belt buckles in the driver, passenger, and second-row window seats may fail to latch.

You're affected if you own or drive a 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 Hyundai Palisade. Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov to confirm your vehicle is included. Hyundai recall number 283.

What to do right now

Until the recall repair is available, insert the seat belt firmly into the buckle with a quick, direct motion and pull on the belt to confirm it is fully secured before driving. Once parts are available (anticipated June 2026), take your vehicle to a Hyundai dealer for a free replacement of the seat belt buckle assemblies.
