Front seat belt anchors on certain 2023-2026 Hyundai and Genesis vehicles may detach, failing to restrain occupants in a crash and increasing injury risk. Dealers will inspect and reinforce or replace the anchors for free.

What is recalled

2023-2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6, 2023-2026 Genesis G90, 2024-2026 Hyundai Santa Fe, and 2024-2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid vehicles. Hyundai recall numbers 298 and 032G apply. Check your VIN on NHTSA.gov (searchable starting April 8, 2026).

What to do right now

Contact your Hyundai dealer or Genesis dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair of your front seat belt anchors. Call Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 or Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Owner notification letters were mailed starting May 29, 2026.
