2023-2025 Kia Sportage Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) and 2024-2025 Kia Sportage vehicles equipped with a 4.2 inch screen and a Genuine Kia tow hitch harness accessory.

You are affected if you own a 2023-2025 Sportage PHEV or a 2024-2025 Sportage with a 4.2 inch instrument panel screen and the Genuine Kia tow hitch harness. Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov beginning December 31, 2025, or call Kia Customer Service to confirm.
What to do right now
Contact Kia Customer Service at 1-800-333-4542 or take your vehicle to a Kia dealer to have the tow hitch harness control module replaced for free. Reference recall number SC359. If you have already received an owner notification letter, follow the instructions provided.
