Certain 2023 to 2025 Kia Sportage PHEV and 2024 to 2025 Sportage vehicles with a Genuine Kia tow hitch harness accessory may experience instrument panel screen failure due to a software error, preventing the display of critical safety information like the speedometer and warning lights. This increases crash risk.

2023 to 2025 Kia Sportage Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles and 2024 to 2025 Kia Sportage vehicles equipped with a 4.2" screen and a Genuine Kia tow hitch harness accessory.

Contact Kia Customer Service at 1-800-333-4542 or visit your Kia dealer to have the tow hitch harness control module replaced for free. Reference Kia recall number SC359. An owner notification letter was mailed February 13, 2026.
