LiCB CR2032 lithium coin batteries were sold without the child-resistant packaging and warning labels required by federal law. If a child swallows one of these batteries, it can cause internal chemical burns and death.

What is recalled

LiCB CR2032 3V lithium coin batteries, sold in packs of two, each containing five batteries (10 batteries total per purchase). The batteries are silver and have "CR2032" and the LiCB brand name embossed on the battery and printed on the packaging. They were sold on Amazon.

Am I affected

You're affected if you have LiCB-branded CR2032 3V lithium coin batteries. Check the battery itself and the packaging for the "CR2032" marking and the LiCB brand name. These were sold on Amazon in two-pack sets of five batteries each.

What to do right now

Stop using these batteries immediately and move them somewhere children cannot reach. Then contact LiCB by email at [email protected] to request a full refund. LiCB will ask you to dispose of the batteries following your local hazardous waste guidelines, do not put them in regular trash.

The hazard

The recalled coin batteries are not in child-resistant packaging and do not bear the warning labels required under Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.
