Madewell is recalling two styles of women's sweaters, the Double V-Neck Pullover and the V-Neck Cardigan, because they fail the mandatory flammability standard for clothing textiles. Wearing these sweaters poses a risk of serious burn injuries or death.

What is recalled

Madewell Double V-Neck Pullover (Style #NT611) and V-Neck Cardigan (Style #NT612) women's sweaters. Sold with or without buttons in light blue and cream, sizes XS through L, with long sleeves and a V-neck. "Madewell" and the size appear on the neck label; "Style #NT611" or "Style #NT612" and "HO24" appear on the sewn-in side seam label.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a Madewell women's sweater with "Style #NT611" or "Style #NT612" and "HO24" on the side seam label. Check the neck label for the "Madewell" name and your size (XS to L), and confirm the sweater is light blue or cream with long sleeves and a V-neck.

What to do right now

Stop wearing the sweater immediately. Cut it in half to destroy it, then photograph the destroyed sweater and email the photo to [email protected]. Madewell will give you a full refund in your original form of payment or store credit. After sending the photo, dispose of the sweater.
