Madewell Recalls Women's Sweaters Due to Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Burn Hazard; Violate Mandatory Standard for Clothing Textiles

Madewell is recalling two styles of women's sweaters, the Double V-Neck Pullover and V-Neck Cardigan, because they fail the mandatory flammability standard for clothing textiles. Wearing them poses a risk of serious burn injuries or death.

What is recalled
Madewell Double V-Neck Pullover (Style #NT611) and V-Neck Cardigan (Style #NT612) women's sweaters. Both styles were sold with or without buttons in light blue and cream, in sizes XS through L, with long sleeves and a V-neck. "Madewell" and the size appear on the neck label; "Style #NT611" or "Style #NT612" and "HO24" appear on the sewn-in side seam label.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own a Madewell women's sweater with "Style #NT611" or "Style #NT612" and "HO24" on the side seam label. Check that label now: if either style number is printed there, this recall applies to your sweater regardless of color (light blue or cream) or size (XS to L).
What to do right now
Stop wearing the sweater immediately. Destroy it by cutting it in half, then photograph the destroyed sweater and email the photo to [email protected] to receive a full refund to your original form of payment or store credit.
