Walmart is recalling the Mainstays 9-Drawer Fabric Dresser because it can tip over if not anchored to the wall, trapping or seriously injuring, or killing, a child underneath. The dresser fails to meet the mandatory federal safety standard for clothing storage units required by the STURDY Act.

What is recalled
Mainstays 9-Drawer Fabric Dresser, sold exclusively at Walmart. The dresser has a black metal frame with nine brown or black fabric drawers with handles. It measures approximately 40 inches long × 13.75 inches wide × 45 inches tall and weighs 32 pounds. Units were manufactured from September 2023 through December 2025. The Tracking/Lot number and manufacture date (MM/YYYY format) are printed on a label under the dresser's top panel. "Mainstays 9-Drawer Fabric Dresser" appears on the product order receipt and packaging.

You're affected if you own a Mainstays 9-Drawer Fabric Dresser with a black metal frame and nine brown or black fabric drawers. Flip up the top panel and look for the label showing the Tracking/Lot number and a manufacture date between 09/2023 and 12/2025. If your dresser matches this description and is not anchored to the wall, stop using it immediately.
