Minka Lighting Group Recalls Bardon Series Pendant Light Fixtures Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from an Impact Hazard

Minka Lighting Group is recalling three models of its Bardon Series Pendant Light Fixtures because the frame can detach from the downrod during installation, creating a serious risk of injury or death from a falling fixture.

What is recalled

Three models of the Minka Bardon Series Pendant Light Fixtures, all in a polished brass finish with slatted frosted glass shades: • 8-Light Pendant, model number N1847-776 • 12-Light Pendant, model number N1848-776 • 5-Light Island, model number N1849-776 The model number is printed on the ceiling plate of each fixture. Note: the 4-Light Semi Flush (model N1844-776) does NOT use a downrod and is not part of this recall.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own or have installed any of these three models, check the model number printed on the ceiling plate of your fixture: • N1847-776 (8-Light Pendant) • N1848-776 (12-Light Pendant) • N1849-776 (5-Light Island) If the fixture is already installed and you can't read the label, contact Minka Lighting Group for help identifying it from photos. The 4-Light Semi Flush (N1844-776) is NOT affected.

What to do right now

Stop using these fixtures immediately. If one is already installed, stay out of the area directly beneath it until it has been taken down.
