Nimood adult portable bed rails (models C3 Pro, C4 Pro, C5 Pro, and C5 Pro 2.0) are recalled because users can become trapped between the rail and the mattress, creating a serious risk of death by asphyxiation. The rails also fail structural stability and retention strap requirements, posing a fall hazard, and have incorrectly sized push pins that can cause lacerations.

What is recalled
Nimood branded adult portable bed rails in four models: C3 Pro (white metal tubing, two support legs, 16.7 in. wide, 26 in. long, height adjustable from 28.9 to 44.9 in.), C4 Pro (black metal tubing, two support legs, height 30.3 to 43.2 in., width 26.4 to 35.8 in., length 25.2 to 32.9 in.), C5 Pro (black metal foldable frame, two support legs, height 29.5 to 42.4 in., width 26 to 35.8 in., length 24.4 in.), and C5 Pro 2.0 (black metal foldable frame, Velcro-attached motion light, two support legs, height 30.3 to 40.3 in., width 28.3 to 34.3 in., length 25.2 in.). All models include a fabric pouch, black strap, and a detachable adjustable magnetic motion light bar. Model numbers are printed on the assembly instructions.

What to do right now
Stop using the bed rail immediately. To get a full refund, you must first destroy the rail: cut the black fabric mesh bag off the rail and cut the black safety strap in half, write "RECALLED" on a piece of paper, then photograph it next to the disassembled rail. Email that photo to [email protected]. After sending the photo, dispose of the product. The hazard
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails, because users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The bed rails do not meet structural stability or retention strap requirements, posing a fall hazard. Furthermore, the bed rails' push pins and push pin holes are incorrectly sized, posing a laceration hazard. In addition, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.
