Nimood Adult Portable Bed Rails Recall
Nimood Adult Portable Bed Rails Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Entrapment and Asphyxiation Hazards; Violate Mandatory Standard for Adult Portable Bed Rails
Updated June 11, 2026
Nimood is recalling four models of adult portable bed rails because users can become trapped between the rail and the mattress, creating a risk of death by asphyxiation. The rails also fail structural stability requirements, posing a fall hazard, and have incorrectly sized push pins that can cause lacerations.
Is the Nimood Adult Portable Bed Rails recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on June 11, 2026. Details below.
What is recalled
Nimood branded adult portable bed rails in four models: C3 Pro, C4 Pro, C5 Pro, and C5 Pro 2.0. Model numbers are printed on the assembly instructions. The C3 Pro is white metal tubing; the C4 Pro, C5 Pro, and C5 Pro 2.0 are black metal tubing. All models include a foam rubber grip handle, a fabric pouch, a black strap, and a detachable magnetic motion light.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own a Nimood adult portable bed rail with one of these model numbers: C3 Pro, C4 Pro, C5 Pro, or C5 Pro 2.0. Check your assembly instructions for the model number.
What to do right now
Stop using the bed rail immediately. To get a full refund, Nimood asks you to destroy the product by cutting the black fabric mesh bag off the rail and cutting the black safety strap in half, then write "RECALLED" on a piece of paper and photograph it alongside the disassembled rail. Email that photo to [email protected], then dispose of the product. For more details, visit nimood.com/pages/product-recalls or go to Nimood.com and click "Recall" at the top of the page.

The hazard
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails, because users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The bed rails do not meet structural stability or retention strap requirements, posing a fall hazard. Furthermore, the bed rails' push pins and push pin holes are incorrectly sized, posing a laceration hazard. In addition, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.
