2025 NISSAN SENTRA: POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DRIVESHAFT
Updated June 26, 2026
Nissan is recalling certain 2025 Sentra vehicles because the front left driveshaft may not be fully seated in the transmission, which can cause a loss of drive power or a rollaway if the parking brake is not applied. Both conditions increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Is the Nissan North America, Inc. recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by NHTSA on June 26, 2026. Details below.

What to do right now
Take your vehicle to a Nissan dealer: they will inspect the front left driveshaft and, if needed, replace the driveshaft and the continuously variable transmission (CVT) assembly free of charge. Notification letters are expected to be mailed August 5, 2026. You can also contact Nissan customer service now at 1-800-867-7669. Until the inspection is done, always apply the parking brake when parked to reduce rollaway risk.
