OeyUoc white pool drain covers sold on Amazon are being recalled because they fail the federal entrapment-protection standards required by the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. A swimmer's hair, limb, or body can become trapped in a non-compliant drain, creating a deadly drowning risk.

What is recalled
OeyUoc white pool drain cover, sold as a replacement drain cover for swimming pools. The cover has no markings on the product itself. Packaging is clear plastic with the following identifiers printed on the label: "X00501CQ7P", "OY-WG1048E-1P", "OeyUoc WG1048...Skimmer Lid SP1030", and "MADE IN CHINA". Each unit includes two stainless steel screws. Sold exclusively on Amazon by Yuanxinxiang.

You are affected if you have an OeyUoc white pool drain cover installed in your pool. Check the clear packaging for the identifiers "X00501CQ7P", "OY-WG1048E-1P", or "OeyUoc WG1048...Skimmer Lid SP1030". Because the cover itself has no markings, also check your Amazon order history for purchases from the seller Yuanxinxiang.
What to do right now
Stop using any pool or spa fitted with this drain cover immediately. Then: (1) Remove the cover from the pool and write "RECALL" on it with a permanent marker. (2) Take a photo of the marked cover. (3) Email the photo to Yuanxinxiang at [email protected] to request a full refund. (4) If you can, cut around the perimeter of the cover to prevent anyone from reusing it, then throw it away. Make sure every pool and spa you own has a VGBA-compliant drain cover before swimming resumes, and teach children to stay away from drains.
