Orb Funkee Squeeze Toys Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Asbestos Exposure; Imported by The Orb Factory

The Orb Factory is recalling two models of Orb Funkee squeeze toys because the sand inside may contain tremolite asbestos, a fibrous mineral that can cause serious lung disease if inhaled. Children should stop using these toys immediately.

What is recalled
Orb Funkee squeeze toys with date code 3102491A. Two models are affected: Model 17451, a large golden "monkee" (monkey), and Model 41929, an assortment of small "monkees" in orange, purple, and green. Both are made of soft, stretchable material filled with sand. The date code is printed on the hand of the golden monkee or on the back of the smaller monkees.

You're affected if you own an Orb Funkee squeeze toy with the date code 3102491A. Check the hand of the large golden monkee (Model 17451) or the back of the small assorted monkees (Model 41929) for that code.
What to do right now
Take the toy away from children and stop using it right away. If the toy is intact, place it in a heavy-duty plastic bag, seal the bag with tape, and email a photo of the bagged toy to [email protected] to start your refund. If the toy has been torn or the sand has leaked out, put on a mask and gloves first, then use damp cloths to collect any loose sand. Place the toy, cloths, mask, and gloves in a heavy-duty plastic bag, then seal that bag inside a second bag (double-bagging) with tape, and dispose of it following your local or state regulations.
