Orb Funkee Squeeze Toys Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Asbestos Exposure; Imported by The Orb Factory

The Orb Factory has recalled two models of Orb Funkee squeeze toys because the sand inside may contain tremolite asbestos, a fiber that can cause serious lung disease if inhaled. Children should stop using these toys immediately.

What is recalled
Orb Funkee squeeze toys with date code 3102491A, in two models: • Model 17451, large golden "monkee" (stylized monkey) • Model 41929, assortment of small "monkees" in orange, purple, and green The date code is printed on the hand of the golden monkee or on the back of the smaller monkees.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own an Orb Funkee squeeze toy and the date code on it reads 3102491A. Check the hand of the large golden monkee (Model 17451) or the back of the small colorful monkees (Model 41929) for this code.
What to do right now
Take the toys away from children and stop using them right now. Then contact The Orb Factory for a refund, call 800-741-0089 (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET), email [email protected], or visit www.orbtoys.com and click "Recall Information" at the bottom of the page. You'll be asked to confirm the code, place the toy in a heavy-duty plastic bag, seal it with tape, and send a photo to the email above. If the toy has been torn, pierced, or has leaked sand: put on a mask and gloves, use damp cloths to collect any loose sand, then place the toy, cloths, mask, and gloves in a heavy-duty plastic bag. Place that bag inside a second bag (double-bag), seal both with tape, and dispose of them following your local and/or state regulations.
