Prismatic 3D Prints Book Nooks with Lights Recall
Prismatic 3D Prints Recalls Book Nooks Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death Battery Ingestion; Violates Mandatory Standard for Consumer Products with Coin Batteries and Statute for Battery Packaging
Updated February 19, 2026
Prismatic 3D Prints is recalling its Book Nooks with Lights because the decorative bookshelf pieces include an easily accessible spare CR2032 coin cell battery that children can reach and swallow. Swallowing a button cell or coin battery can cause internal chemical burns, serious injury, or death.
Is the Prismatic 3D Prints Book Nooks with Lights recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on February 19, 2026. Details below.
What is recalled
Prismatic 3D Prints Book Nooks with Lights, decorative bookshelf inserts sold in three designs: Fantasy Window, Gothic Cathedral Window, and Gothic Cathedral Window (set of three). Available in multiple frame colors (antique gold, pewter, black granite, white marble, and black) and window colors (purple, red, yellow, green, and blue). The base of each book nook has a circular recess labeled "extra battery" that holds a spare CR2032 coin cell battery.
Am I affected
You're affected if you own any Prismatic 3D Prints Book Nook with Lights, in any of the three designs (Fantasy Window, Gothic Cathedral Window, or the three-piece Gothic Cathedral Window set) and in any color combination. Check the base of the book nook: if there is a circular recess marked "extra battery," your product is included in this recall.
What to do right now
Stop using the book nooks immediately. Remove the spare CR2032 coin cell battery from the recess in the base and store it somewhere completely out of reach of children. Dispose of or recycle the battery following your local hazardous-waste procedures. Then contact Prismatic 3D Prints to receive a free repair kit, it includes a part to permanently cover the spare battery holder plus installation instructions. Reach them by email at [email protected] (put "recall" in the subject line) or visit their Etsy shop at https://prismatic3dprints1.etsy.com for more information.
Contact: Prismatic 3D Prints email at [email protected] with "recall" in the subject, or online at https://prismatic3dprints1.etsy.com or Book Nook Recall Info for more information.
The hazard
The recalled book nooks violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries because the nooks include a spare lithium coin battery that can be easily accessed by children. In addition, the spare coin battery is not in child resistant packaging, and the packaging does not have the warnings as required by Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.
