Proudly American Store is recalling Panasonic-branded VL2020 lithium coin batteries because they were sold without child-resistant packaging or the required warning labels. If a child swallows one of these batteries, it can cause internal chemical burns or death.

What is recalled
Panasonic-branded VL2020 lithium coin batteries, 3-volt, sold in clear plastic bags containing one or two silver batteries. The brand name "Panasonic" and "VL2020" are embossed directly on each battery. Imported by Proudly American Store, of Canada.
Am I affected
You're affected if you have Panasonic-branded lithium coin batteries with "VL2020" embossed on them that came in a clear plastic bag (not child-resistant packaging), imported by Proudly American Store.
What to do right now
Stop using these batteries immediately. Move them to a location children cannot reach. Then contact Proudly American Store by email at [email protected] to request a full refund. You will be asked to dispose of the batteries following your local hazardous waste guidelines.

The hazard
The recalled coin batteries are not in child-resistant packaging and do not bear the warning labels required under Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.
