Panasonic-branded VL2020 lithium coin batteries imported by Proudly American Store are being recalled because they were sold without child-resistant packaging or the required warning labels. If a child swallows one of these batteries, it can cause internal chemical burns or death.

What is recalled
Panasonic-branded VL2020 lithium coin batteries (3-volt, silver) imported by Proudly American Store. Sold in clear plastic bags containing one or two batteries. "Panasonic" and "VL2020" are embossed directly on the battery.
Am I affected
You're affected if you have Panasonic-branded VL2020 lithium coin batteries that came in a plain clear plastic bag (not child-resistant packaging) and were sold by Proudly American Store. Check the battery itself for the embossed text "VL2020."
What to do right now
Stop using these batteries immediately and move them somewhere children absolutely cannot reach. Contact Proudly American Store by email at [email protected] to request a full refund. You will be asked to dispose of the batteries following your local hazardous waste guidelines, do not put them in regular trash.

The hazard
The recalled coin batteries are not in child-resistant packaging and do not bear the warning labels required under Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.
