2025 RAM 5500, 2025 RAM 3500: AIR BAGS: AIR BAG/RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE

Chrysler is recalling certain 2025 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 trucks because a software error in the occupant restraint controller module can prevent the driver's air bag and seat belt pretensioner from deploying in a crash, and can disable the electronic stability control (ESC) system. Both failures significantly raise the risk of serious injury in a crash.

What is recalled
Certain 2025 Ram 2500 Pickup, 3500 Pickup, 3500 Cab Chassis, 4500 Cab Chassis, and 5500 Cab Chassis trucks manufactured by Chrysler (FCA US, LLC). Chrysler's recall reference number is C3C. Check whether your VIN is included at NHTSA.gov (VINs were searchable from December 19, 2025).

Take your truck to a Ram/Chrysler dealer for a free software update to the occupant restraint controller module. Owner notification letters were mailed January 15, 2026.
