Shintenchi's white 6-drawer dresser (model SHX12077-WH) has been recalled because it can tip over if not anchored to a wall, posing a serious risk of crushing or trapping children underneath. The dresser fails to meet the federal safety standard for clothing storage units required by the STURDY Act.

What is recalled

Shintenchi-branded white 6-drawer dresser, model SHX12077-WH. The dresser has six wooden drawers and golden metal feet, and measures approximately 15.7 inches deep × 47.2 inches wide × 30.5 inches high. The model number "SHX12077-WH" is embossed on the underside of the dresser at the top of one metal foot and on the product packaging.

You're affected if you own a white Shintenchi dresser with six wooden drawers and golden metal feet. Flip the dresser or check the packaging for the model number "SHX12077-WH" embossed on the underside near the top of one metal foot. If that number is present, your dresser is included in this recall.

What to do right now

Stop using the dresser immediately if it is not securely anchored to a wall, and move it to an area children cannot access.
