Specialized Turbo Como SL E-Bike Recall

Specialized Bicycle Components Recalls Specialized Turbo Como SL Electric Bicycles Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Fall Hazard

Updated March 19, 2026

Specialized has recalled all Turbo Como SL electric bicycles because the front fork's steerer tube can develop a fatigue crack and progressively fail, causing the rider to fall. Stop riding this bike immediately.

Is the Specialized Turbo Como SL 4.0 & 5.0 Bicycle Forks recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on March 19, 2026. Details below.

What is recalled

All Specialized Turbo Como SL electric bicycles, specifically the bicycle forks on both the Como SL 4.0 and Como SL 5.0 models. The Como SL 4.0 was sold in Cast Umber, Dove Grey, and Raspberry. The Como SL 5.0 was sold in Smoke, Brassy Yellow, and Brushed Silver. "Como SL" is printed on the bike's seat tube or top tube. Only SL versions within the Como family are included, no other Como models are affected.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a Specialized Turbo Como SL electric bicycle (any color, any model year). Check your bike's seat tube or top tube for the words "Como SL." You can also confirm your exact model by connecting the bike to the Specialized app. If it says "Como SL 4.0" or "Como SL 5.0," stop riding it now.

What to do right now

Stop riding the bike immediately. Contact your authorized Specialized retailer to schedule a free fork replacement. Replacement parts are expected to be available in Spring 2026.
