Sviyatp Pool Drain Cover Recall: Drowning Risk

Sviyatp Pool Drain Covers Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Entrapment and Drowning Hazards; Violate Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act

Updated July 23, 2026

Sviyatp white pool drain covers are being recalled because they fail federal entrapment protection standards, creating a deadly risk that a swimmer's hair, limb, or body could become trapped against the drain and cause drowning. Any pool or spa using one of these covers should be shut down immediately.

Is the Sviyatp Pool Drain Covers recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on July 23, 2026. Details below.

What is recalled

Sviyatp white pool drain cover, sold as a replacement drain cover for swimming pools. The product has no markings on the cover itself. The clear packaging is labeled with all of the following: "X0050114ZZ," "SV-SP1030-001," "Sviyatp Dual Suction Outlet," and "MADE IN CHINA." The package includes two stainless steel screws.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own or operate a pool or spa that has a Sviyatp drain cover installed. Because the cover has no markings on the product itself, check the original packaging for the identifiers "X0050114ZZ," "SV-SP1030-001," or "Sviyatp Dual Suction Outlet." If you installed a white replacement pool drain cover sold under the Sviyatp name and still have the packaging, look for these codes.

What to do right now

Stop using any pool or spa with this drain cover installed right now. Then: remove the cover, write "RECALL" on it with a marker, photograph it, and dispose of it (cut the perimeter structure if you can, to prevent anyone from reinstalling it). Email the photo to Sviyatp at [email protected] to receive a full refund. Make sure all your pools and spas are fitted with drain covers that comply with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act before anyone swims again.

Contact: Sviyatp by email at [email protected].

The hazard

The recalled drain covers violate the entrapment protection standards of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA), posing deadly entrapment and drowning hazards to consumers.
