2026 TESLA MODEL Y: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:FUSES, RELAYS, CONTACTS, AND SHUNTS

Tesla is recalling certain 2025 Model 3 and 2026 Model Y vehicles because the battery pack contactors may fail, causing loss of drive power and increasing crash risk. Tesla will replace the contactors for free.

2025 Tesla Model 3 and 2026 Tesla Model Y vehicles with battery pack contactors that may fail.

You're affected if you own a 2025 Model 3 or 2026 Model Y. Check your vehicle year and model in your registration or on your vehicle. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2025.

Contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752 to schedule a free battery pack contactor replacement. Reference Tesla recall number SB-25-16-005.
