2026 TESLA MODEL Y: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:HORN

The horn ground wire on certain 2026 Tesla Model Y vehicles may not be properly secured, which can cause the horn to stop working. A non-functional horn prevents you from alerting other drivers and significantly increases the risk of a crash.

You're affected if you own a 2026 Tesla Model Y and have not yet had the steering wheel replaced by Tesla service.
What to do right now
Contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752 to schedule a free replacement of your steering wheel. Reference Tesla recall number SB-25-17-009. Owner notification letters were mailed September 23, 2025.
