The third row center seat belt roof anchor on certain 2024 to 2025 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles may have been installed at an incorrect angle, preventing the seat belt from properly restraining an occupant in a crash and increasing injury risk.

What is recalled

2024 to 2025 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles with a defective third row center seat belt roof anchor.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a 2024 or 2025 Toyota Highlander or Highlander Hybrid. Check your owner notification letter (mailed January 27, 2026) or contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331 with your vehicle identification number (VIN) to confirm. Toyota's recall number is 25TA16.

What to do right now

Contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 to schedule a free dealer appointment. A dealer will reinstall the third row center seat belt anchor with a new bolt at no charge.
