Toyota & Lexus Instrument Panel Software Recall 2025

2025 TOYOTA CAMRY, 2025 TOYOTA CROWN SIGNIA, 2025 TOYOTA GRAND HIGHLANDER and more: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL

Updated September 11, 2025

Toyota and Lexus are recalling millions of vehicles because a software error in the instrument panel can prevent it from displaying your speed, brake system warnings, and tire pressure alerts at startup. Driving without that critical information increases the risk of a crash or injury.

Is the Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by NHTSA on September 11, 2025. Details below.

What to do right now

For non-PHEV vehicles, Toyota will push a free software update to your instrument panel over-the-air (OTA), no dealer visit needed. For PHEV vehicles, take your car to a Toyota dealer, where they will inspect the instrument panel and either update the software or replace the assembly, free of charge.
