Moisture can damage the reverse lights on certain 2022 to 2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid trucks, causing them to fail. When the reverse lights don't work, other drivers and pedestrians can't see that you're backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.

What is recalled

2022 to 2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles with defective reverse light assemblies. Toyota recall numbers: 24TB06 and 24TA06.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own or drive a 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 Toyota Tundra or Tundra Hybrid and have not yet had the reverse lights serviced under this recall.

What to do right now

Contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 to schedule a free replacement of both reverse light assemblies and any necessary wire harness repairs at an authorized dealer. An owner letter was mailed May 23, 2026.

The hazard

Reverse light failure may reduce visibility, and not alert pedestrians and other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.
