2025 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS, 2025 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS CROSS SPORT: SERVICE BRAKES

Volkswagen is recalling certain 2023 to 2025 Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, and 2023 to 2024 ID.4 vehicles because chassis, brake, and suspension bolts may not have been tightened correctly at the factory. Loose bolts in these systems can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.

What is recalled

Certain 2023 to 2025 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles, and certain 2023 to 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 vehicles. Affected bolts are on the chassis, brake system, and/or suspension, including bolts for the cross member, engine mount, control arm, subframe, and rear brake carrier. Volkswagen's recall number is 42HX.

Check your recall notice (owner notification letters were mailed July 25, 2025) or look up your vehicle identification number (VIN) at nhtsa.gov/recalls using recall number 42HX to confirm your specific vehicle is included.
