2025 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN: AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION:FRONT PASSENGER

Updated December 10, 2025

Volkswagen is recalling certain 2025 Tiguan SUVs because a wiring fault in the passenger occupant detection system (PODS) can cause the front passenger air bag to deactivate even when someone is sitting in that seat. If the air bag is off during a crash, the front passenger faces a significantly higher risk of serious injury.
