Wyze Solar Cam Pan Security Camera Recall
Wyze Labs Recalls Solar Cam Pan Security Cameras Due to Risk of Serious Injury from Fire and Burn Hazards
Updated June 4, 2026
Wyze Labs is recalling its Solar Cam Pan outdoor security cameras because incorrect assembly instructions can cause users to accidentally puncture the lithium-ion battery, making it rapidly overheat and potentially catch fire. This creates a serious risk of injury and property damage from fire and burns.
Is the Wyze Solar Cam Pan Security Cameras recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on June 4, 2026. Details below.
What is recalled
Wyze Solar Cam Pan outdoor security cameras, model number WYZESCPWH (printed on the back of the camera). The cameras are wire-free, battery-powered, and sold in white with a built-in solar panel and motorized pan-and-tilt feature.
Am I affected
You are affected if you own a Wyze Solar Cam Pan (model WYZESCPWH) and used the long, flat-head screw to attach the solar panel on top of the camera during installation. Check the back of your camera for the model number. If you are unsure which screw you used, visit wyze.com/SCPrecall for identification guidance.
What to do right now
Stop using this camera immediately. Visit wyze.com/SCPrecall to confirm whether your device is affected and to claim your remedy: a free replacement camera with solar panel, a full refund, or a gift card for the original purchase price. You will need to confirm that you have disposed of the recalled camera. Do not put it in the trash, curbside recycling, or a used-battery drop box at retail stores. Instead, contact your local municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center, calling ahead to confirm they accept recalled lithium-ion batteries.
