YITA Recalls Multiple Brands of Dressers Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards; Violates Mandatory Standard for Clothing Storage Units

YITA is recalling 16-drawer fabric dressers sold under five brand names, Yitahome, Uforic, Dextrus, Yintatech, and ModFusion, because they can tip over and trap children underneath, posing a risk of serious injury or death. The dressers do not meet the mandatory federal safety standard for clothing storage units required by the STURDY Act.

What is recalled
16-drawer fabric dressers sold under five brand names: Dextrus, ModFusion, Uforic, Yintatech, and Yitahome. They come in gray, black, white, pink, and brown, with a black or white metal frame, wooden top, and collapsible fabric drawers (approx. 37.4" long × 11.8" wide × 57.1" tall). Affected SKUs, printed on a label on the dresser's top panel and on the packaging, are: FTBFSD-0161, FTBFSD-0162, FTBFSD-0212, FTBFSD-0246, and FTBFSD-0465.

You're affected if you own a 16-drawer fabric dresser from any of these five brands: Dextrus, ModFusion, Uforic, Yintatech, or Yitahome, AND the label on the dresser's top panel or its original packaging shows one of these SKU numbers: FTBFSD-0161, FTBFSD-0162, FTBFSD-0212, FTBFSD-0246, or FTBFSD-0465.
What to do right now
Stop using the dresser immediately if it is not securely anchored to the wall, and move it to an area children cannot reach. To get a full refund: write "RECALL" on the dresser in permanent marker, disassemble it, take a photo of the disposed product, and email the photo to [email protected].
