YOLAAH Portable Bed Rail BR-01 Recall

YOLAAH Adult Portable Bed Rails Recalled Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Entrapment and Asphyxiation Hazards; Violate Mandatory Standard for Adult Portable Bed Rails

Updated January 8, 2026

YOLAAH is recalling its Portable Bed Rails (model BR-01) because users can become trapped between the rail and the mattress, creating a serious risk of death by asphyxiation. The product also fails to carry the required safety warning labels and does not meet the mandatory federal standard for adult portable bed rails.

Is the YOLAAH Portable Bed Rails recalled? Yes. This product was recalled by CPSC on January 8, 2026. Details below.

What is recalled

YOLAAH Bed Rail, model BR-01. The rail is 15.8 inches tall by 26.8 inches wide, with a black rubber hand grip, a white metal base, and a storage pocket with "YOLAAH" printed on it. Sold under the YOLAAH brand.

Am I affected

You're affected if you own a YOLAAH Bed Rail with model number BR-01, check the storage pocket for the "YOLAAH" label and confirm the rail has a black rubber hand grip and white metal base matching the dimensions above (15.8" tall × 26.8" wide).

What to do right now

Stop using the bed rail immediately. Then: (1) Use scissors to cut the black fabric mesh bag off the upper rail and cut the black safety strap in half. (2) Use a permanent marker to write "RECALLED" on both the upper and lower rails. (3) Take a photo of the marked rails and email it to [email protected] to request your refund. (4) Dispose of the product following your local waste disposal rules.

Contact: Email YOLAAH at [email protected].

The hazard

The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails because, when the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. In addition, the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.
